Do You Have Famous Friends?
The word out there (where?) is that last Saturday
Krist Novoselic and I spent some quality time together.
Well, the word is right.
Ten second summary:
We mauled society in a major/minor way...
We knocked truancy like no others...
We talked about community, and lack of...
We shared a laugh about Michael Jackson (Krist got to touch him once)...
We drank coffee of stars and stripes...
We agreed that it is America's turn...
He bought an Everly Brothers record that I recommended (yeah!)...
He recommended I get the Tron soundtrack...
And more.
No I didn't ask for his autograph...are you kidding?
More details to be told in person, inquire within.
And yes, I do recommend you get your friend an Everly Brothers record.
Next week: Christian Bale? Parker Posey? Elijah Wood? George Lopez? Sure...why not.

Lateyoung.com is up and The Monochrome Set are ill
YO,
The late young site went live today. It is dead simple for now, but it has links to the music files from our demo and we will be adding more things as we go.
http://www.lateyoung.com/
Oh and some music…
Monochrome Set - Eine Symphonie des Grauens
Watch the video. This is for sure one of their darker songs and it’s first-rate. There early music is laced with tinges of surf rock, guitar noise, new waves, tude rock and solid pop song writing. All things anybody who might happen to be reading this should enjoy.

International Harvester - Klockan [träd gräs stenar]
It’s hard to describe International Harvester or just Harvester, lots of field recordings, tape sounds, heavy psyc rock and folk. An enormously robust set of sounds for a short lived band from the late 60s, long before digital delay pedals and rack mounts and all the things bands these days have. It was said it really started for them when Terry Riley came out to Stockholm and did tape loops all over there Swedish asses, the influence is apparent in the music but the sheer all over the mappness of their style really leaves a lasting impression.
